This resume will introduce the law firm of Thagard & Reiss LLP, including our office in Las Vegas Nevada, Thagard & Brown. The firm was formed in 1998 and is currently engaged in the practice of general casualty insurance defense litigation in the Superior Courts of California, the District Courts of Nevada, as well as all Districts of the Federal Courts of California and Nevada. Among the senior members of the firm there is in excess of one hundred years of experience in all aspects of civil litigation including extensive trial work in both the state and federal courts. The firm emphasizes defense representation of clients in complex construction defect litigation and catastrophic personal injury, in addition to a varied defense practice in areas including toxic tort litigation, product liability and business litigation. The firm has achieved an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell.

Kristine A. Thagard and R. Robert Reiss are the founding principals of the firm. Kevin Brown was made a partner in 2003. The firm is currently comprised of the partners, senior associates, junior associates, five certified paralegals, one law clerk and supporting staff. The firm will continue to be engaged in a defense practice that represents clients in varied matters requiring civil litigation expertise.

Representative carrier clients of the firm include CNA Insurance Company, Federated Insurance Company, Sentry Insurance Company, Investors Insurance Group, Insurance Company of the West, Citation Insurance Company, Tudor Insurance Company, Zurich North America Specialties London, and American International Specialty Lines Insurance Company. In addition, the firm represents several private business entities including Beylik Drilling, Inc., Sherwood Mechanical, Spectrum Landscape, Fontana Paper Mills, Golden West Plumbing, Inc., Orange Pacific Plumbing, Inc. and Cameo Homes.
